Our apartment is very centrally located (3 km from the A8, Neukirchen exit) between Lake Chiemsee (18 km) and Salzburg (30 km), we’re on the edge of the Chiemgau region, next to the Rupertiwinkel and the Berchtesgadener Land with Lake Königsee (45 km), Reit im Winkel (39 km), etc.
The surrounding area has a lot to offer, from the mountains with their numerous hiking trails, mountain railways, alpine pastures, and lakes set in stunning natural scenery, to the fairy-tale and amusement parks in Ruhpolding (15 km) and Marquartstein, as well as a summer toboggan run, ski slopes, the biathlon center (20 km), and the Holzknecht Museum in Ruhpolding. There are many water parks and indoor pools/thermal baths in Siegsdorf, Traunstein, Ruhpolding, Inzell, Bad Reichenhall, Prien am Chiemsee (35 km), as well as a high ropes course, etc. In Siegsdorf, there’s a great natural history/mammoth museum, and many more flyers for activities are available for you in our vacation rental.
We are a three-generation family consisting of Grandma Fini and Grandpa Sepp, us—Christine and Werner—and our daughter Annalena; we are the sixth generation. Our family has lived on this beautiful property for over 120 years; it used to be an inn—hence the name “Wirtshof”—nestled in the heart of a small natural paradise in the “Pechschnaitt” high moorland, set against a stunning mountain backdrop. Our family is deeply rooted in tradition and has strong ties to our homeland.
We are delighted to welcome every guest and visitor; hospitality and “hosting” are very close to our hearts.
