One of our most-loved studios inside the newly renovated Columbus Hotel: a private queen studio with a full kitchen, smart-lock arrival, shared laundry, and parking across the street, first come, first served.
Third floor of 52 Cottage. Walk to dining, stay close to Touro, Garnet Health, and the Paramount.

The Space:
The Atelier Suite is a polished private studio inside the Columbus Hotel and one of our most-booked rooms, made for guests who want a focused downtown base with space to sleep, work, eat in, and reset. Inside, you have a queen bed, a clean private bathroom with a shower, and a modern kitchenette with appliances, countertop, sink, full-size refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, kitchenware, cookware, and a cooktop.
The suite also includes free Wi-Fi, a dedicated workstation suited for laptop work, a 42-inch Smart HDTV, iron and ironing board, and a powerful mini-split AC and heating unit.
The result is a room that supports a real daily rhythm: coffee in the morning, work at the desk, simple meals when needed, and a comfortable place to unwind at night, which is why reviewers consistently love it. It works well for work trips, students or family connected to Touro, Garnet Health visits, Paramount plans, local events, and longer bookings.
You'll check in with a smart lock, use shared laundry ($1.50 a load), and park in the private lot across the street, first come, first served.

Check-in instructions and codes are sent on the day of arrival through the booking platform (from Guesty). Codes are never posted publicly. Your door codes are sent once you complete our short check-in registration form, so please fill it in before you travel.
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM; checkout is by 10:00 AM. Early check-in (12-1 PM $45, 2-3 PM $35) when approved in writing; unauthorized late checkout is billed $50.
Free parking in the private lot directly across the street, first come, first served. The lot is signed "53-55 Cottage" but it is the correct guest lot; park in any open spot. One standard-size vehicle per reservation; oversized vehicles are not permitted.
Shared laundry in the building, $1.50 a load; do not run laundry during quiet hours.
No elevator; stairs are required.

Clemson Bros Brewery is a short walk down Cottage Street, and Oak & Reed, the Paramount Theatre, Touro, and Garnet Health are all convenient local anchors for guests visiting the area. Regional draws like Woodbury Common, Galleria at Crystal Run, LEGOLAND New York, West Point, the Orange Heritage Trail, and Bear Mountain are also within reach by car.
The neighborhood has a safe, working downtown and residential feel.

The experience is urban and practical rather than secluded. You may hear normal city activity, hallway movement, stairs, and other guests coming and going. The restaurant downstairs adds convenience, though this remains a downtown building with a normal city rhythm.
Only registered guests are permitted on the property. No visitors, parties, events, gatherings, or commercial shoots are allowed.
Quiet hours are from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be considerate of other guests in the building.
No pets are allowed. No smoking, vaping, or cannabis use is allowed anywhere inside the building, suites, hallways, or common areas. Violations may result in cancellation, removal from the property, additional fees, and smoke remediation charges.
Exterior and common-area security cameras are in place for guest and property safety. There are no cameras inside any suite and no noise monitors inside the rooms.
