Our family-run inn is quietly located on the outskirts of town, yet it’s only about 5 minutes to the center. You can reach the apartment via a staircase leading to the rooftop terrace, and it has its own entrance. From the small entryway, where you can leave your shoes and jacket, you’ll find the lovingly furnished living room on your right, featuring a kitchenette, dining area, and a sleeper sofa for two people. There, you can make yourself comfortable, watch TV, or play cards at the dining table. Adjacent to this is a large storage room with a toilet and sink. To the left of the entryway is the cozy bedroom. There you’ll find a 2x2m double bed at a comfortable height, as well as an armchair that can also be used as a bed. This is ideal if you’re vacationing with a small child, who can sleep in the parents’ bedroom. Upon request, we’re also happy to provide a travel crib. The bedroom also has a TV, so you can relax and watch TV in bed in the evening. From the bedroom, you can access the large bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink, as well as a large mirrored cabinet. When the weather is nice, you can relax on the rooftop terrace or enjoy your meals outdoors. Dogs are allowed by arrangement.If you’d prefer not to prepare your own meals, our restaurant offers a wide selection of home-style and gourmet dishes in a cozy atmosphere (including senior and children’s meals, as well as set menus). We’d be happy to reserve a table for you upon request. The most beautiful hiking trails start right outside our front door. The Rothaarsteig is just 7 km away, and 136 kilometers of marked hiking trails are just waiting for you to discover them. Whether it’s the challenging Winterberg High-Altitude Tour, the mysterious Myths and Legends Trail, or the scenic Sauerland High-Altitude Hike—the choice is yours. The Rothaarsteig is seven kilometers away. Do you prefer to get around on two wheels? Then hop on the connection between the Ruhr Valley Bike Trail and the Eder Valley Bike Trail, not far from the house.You can also reach us by train via the Winterberg station (about 8 kilometers away) and the connecting bike path to Züschen, or via the Frankenberg station (about 24.9 kilometers away). Of course, you’ll also find connecting buses via public transportation here. In winter, you can enjoy the Skiwelt Winterberg. Here, five unique ski areas await you, with a total of 60 runs and 45 kilometers of slopes. One pet is allowed for a fee of 5 EUR per pet per night. A crib can be provided upon request for a fee of 5 EUR per stay. Half of the total price is to be transferred to our account as a deposit at the time of booking; the remaining balance is also to be transferred 2 days before arrival. On the day of arrival, you will receive the access code for the apartment key via email around 11:00 a.m., or—if that is not possible—by phone.
