Right in town and in the surrounding area, you can hike, go for walks, ride a bike, or simply enjoy the tranquility of the Thuringian Forest. The Rennsteig, with its popular hiking trails and scenic overlooks, is about a 5-minute drive away. You can reach the Rennsteig train station—a well-known destination and starting point for hikes as well as rides on the historic Rennsteig Railway—in about 10 minutes.

There’s also plenty for families to discover around Frauenwald. The Frauenwald Bunker Museum is just a few minutes away and offers fascinating insights into the region’s history. The first floor features a spacious, open-concept kitchen and dining area that’s perfect for cooking together and enjoying each other’s company. The kitchen is fully equipped and offers plenty of space to comfortably prepare meals even for a larger family or a travel group. Right in the kitchen, there’s a large dining table that seats up to 10 people. Here, you can have breakfast together, enjoy leisurely dinners, play games, or wind down the day in a relaxed atmosphere.

A cozy sofa area and the fireplace make the open living space particularly inviting. While someone is cooking in the kitchen, the other guests can already relax at the dining table or on the sofa. Thanks to the open layout, everyone stays connected, so the room quickly becomes the social hub of the vacation home. Especially on cooler days, the fireplace creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Another spacious living room is located on the second floor. This separate living area offers additional space and is ideal when individual guests want to retreat or when children and adults prefer different activities. Two two-seaters, several comfortable armchairs, and a table that seats four create various opportunities for reading, playing, socializing, or relaxing.
