The northern reaches of Washington are yours to discover at this split-level home just outside downtown Bellingham. Whether you plan to spend your days exploring Lake Whatcom, Mt. Baker, or Bellingham itself, you'll be perfectly placed to do so. You're also a quick trip from Fairhaven and the Bham Cruise Terminal, as well as near I-5 for access to the US/Canada border.
This home sits at the base of mature evergreens in a quiet, residential neighborhood, less than three miles from the center of downtown Bellingham.
The Space:
You'll be one mile from Whatcom Falls Park and only a few miles more from Sudden Valley Golf Course and other recreation areas on the lakeshore. This is also a great spot for day trips, with the Lummi Island Ferry (20 miles), the Anacortes Ferry (37 miles), and Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest (40 miles) all close by.
Step inside to find a living space full of mid-century flair, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through floor-to-ceiling windows. After a day out and about, you can curl up on the sofa with a good book, stream a favorite movie on the smart TV, and flip on the gas fireplace for some added warmth and coziness.
The kitchen is equipped with every essential, including stainless steel appliances and an eat-in dining table. After dinner each evening, head downstairs to the den to find another gas fireplace, another smart TV, and access to the backyard and patio. We were in Bellingham for my daughter‘s graduation from the university. The house is in a lovely neighborhood, centrally located and worked perfectly for us to gather, make meals and be together. The kitchen is fairly well stocked with all cooking necessities and the beds were comfortable. It has a lovely backyard surrounded by large trees and well maintained grass. Our biggest disappointment was that there was no outdoor furniture of any kind for us to enjoy the yard in the beautiful weather.

Our kids are in college in Bellingham, this is a convenient, pet friendly location. There are three bedrooms upstairs that sleep 3, tops 4 people and then a day bed and a couch downstairs that are comfortable for sleeping. We could never get the main floor fireplaces to work, but the electric heater works. There is not a fenced yard, but the neighborhood is nice for short little dog walks. Convenient location to Western Washington U.

Great house, very very clean. Beautiful neighborhood. Queen bed was so squeaky it would wake you up all night long with any movement. The alarm was nonfunctional, not connected to WiFi, but would beep nonstop multiple different times. There seems to be no point in having it on at all. Keyless entry is fantastic, but a shorter entry code would be welcome - 10 digits is a lot to remember and I had to look it up in my email every time I came home. The downstairs TV had no remote, but required updates. We tried to stream from our own devices using ApplePlay, but that would not work either. Disappointing as the couch and set up was nicer downstairs than upstairs. Overall a nice property, but more attention should be paid to the things that make a stay somewhere nice - beds, couches, TVs.
