Worst Homestay - Host was like he would make my stay memorable, it’s memorable and will never forget
Nothing at all
Extremely Disappointing Experience – I Left After Just One Night!
I strongly advise future guests to think carefully before booking this homestay. I booked the property through Booking.com under the Pay at the Property option. However, the host, Sagar Ghosal, insisted that I pay 20% of the total booking amount in advance, claiming that the homestay was in high demand. This was an uncomfortable experience, especially since I had specifically selected the pay-at-property option.
The actual condition of the property was even more disappointing. Basic amenities such as running water, a water heater, and drinking water were unavailable. These are basic necessities, not luxuries, and their absence made the stay extremely inconvenient.
The surroundings were equally unpleasant. The property was located in a filthy and unhygienic area, with dog feces scattered around. The overall cleanliness was far below acceptable standards, making the environment uncomfortable and unsuitable for a relaxing stay.
The experience was so disappointing that I left the homestay after just one night. I had booked accommodation expecting basic comfort, hygiene, and a reasonable standard of hospitality, but unfortunately, none of these expectations were met.
I would also encourage prospective guests to read the reviews carefully and make their own informed decisions. I cannot verify the authenticity of the existing reviews, but my personal experience was extremely poor.
A homestay should provide clean surroundings, essential amenities, transparent payment terms, and respectful treatment of guests. Unfortunately, this property fell short in all these areas.
My recommendation: Be cautious before booking. Confirm the payment terms directly through Booking.com and verify the availability of essential amenities beforehand. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this homestay, and I certainly would not stay here again.
