TOW VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS
Ridge is compact, but tongue weight and vehicle payload are important when choosing a tow vehicle.
Minimum screening requirements:
• Frame-mounted 2" receiver
• Minimum 6,000 lb tow rating
• Minimum 600 lb tongue weight rating
• 7-pin wiring connection
• Brake controller required
Ridge’s unloaded tongue weight is approximately 535 lbs. Loaded tongue weight may be higher, so meeting the minimum ratings alone does not guarantee compatibility. Your vehicle must also have enough remaining payload for passengers, cargo, hitch equipment, and the trailer’s loaded tongue weight.
Weight Distribution Hitches & Brake Controllers
• Blue Ox weight-distribution hitch with sway control included
• External brake controller available as an optional add-on for compatible vehicles
Please include tow vehicle specs when inquiring:
Year / Make / Model / Tow Rating / Payload / Hitch Rating / Brake Controller (Yes/No)
Tow vehicle approval is required. If you’re unsure about your vehicle’s ratings, message before booking so we can review the setup together.
From Your Host
Ridge brings something different to the BayCampr fleet: Airstream character, panoramic views, and a flexible interior in a compact trailer. I keep all units clean, well-maintained, and simple to operate, and I’m always happy to help renters get familiar with their setup before heading out.
If you’re looking for a comfortable base for a mountain escape, a coastal weekend, or a few quiet days at camp, Ridge is ready for your next trip.
