Very pleasant and central hotel, renovated with flair in a jazz age theme, especially the glamorous custom furniture. The room was well appointed with a coffee maker, vintage style fridge-freezer, elegant round table n chairs, practical bathroom and plenty of storage. Also the high-tech bedside table that works as a MagSafe charger. I loved the well appointed communal living room/kitchen with 2x microwaves, kettle, sandwich maker and mini air fryer, plenty of cutlery and crockery and ample space for relaxation and conversation. Good Parking for any size car/SUV/RV.
A bit more sound insulation and blackout curtains in the room would have made it perfect. Also bedside lighting was missing - there was just one single light in the whole room which had its only switch at the door. [EDIT] I was invited to write this review in the early evening, ie before going to sleep. I have added the following comments to reflect the actual overnight experience. BOOKING should not be inviting feedback until after the accommodation has been slept in. The street carries quite a lot of traffic, and unfortunately right in front of the hotel there is a long strip of Very Poor Road Surface. Every semi trailer or vehicle with a trailer makes a prolonged and deafening rattling sound while passing over it. The air conditioning is of the old school through-the-wall variety which means much louder operating noise, less efficiency and no remote control. It is at floor level, and you need to KNEEL in front of it to “program” and switch it on and off.
Most frustrating was our discovery late at night (when reception had long closed) that beneath the bed’s impeccable linens, there lay a winter-weight quilt, and unlike almost every other hotel room I’ve ever been in, the wardrobe did not contain any spare blanket (lightweight or otherwise). The outside air was cool but no window could be opened. Spent the night half under, half outside the bedding with the noisy aircon running, but still too hot…
I understand the hotel had reopened only recently after its refurbishment and some of the above are teething problems or partially outside their control. I trust that a good proportion of these issues can be addressed promptly.

Big spacious room with good fresh air.
Bathroom Towel rack- dangerous. design / location is dangerous. Too close to toilet so hit head on sharp edge overhead rack. Suggest change it pls before serious injury occurs.
