We absolutely loved staying at La Cure de Masnuy-Saint-Pierre, near Pairi Daiza, and would happily come back again!
What makes this property particularly special is its history. We did a little research and discovered that it dates back to the 18th century, around 1750–1775, and was originally the village presbytery, where the local priest lived. The building is over 250 years old and has been officially protected as a historic property since 1989. It even has old vaulted cellars and retains some lovely traditional architectural features. It's amazing to think of the history behind the place!
The accommodation itself was excellent value for money. We had everything we needed, it was comfortable, and it was lovely staying somewhere with so much character rather than in an ordinary hotel.
Max was a fantastic host. He's genuinely friendly, welcoming and helpful, and made us feel very much at home. We really appreciated his hospitality and hope we'll have the pleasure of meeting him again.
One little tip for anyone planning to enjoy the whirlpool bath: allow around 30 minutes for it to fill, as the water needs to cover the jets before you switch them on. And whatever you do, don't add bubble bath or oils! As you can see from our photo, we had a bit of a mishap and ended up with our own little foam party! Haha!
We had a wonderful stay, loved the character and history of the property, and thought the price was brilliant for what we got.
Thank you again, Max! We really hope to see you again on our next visit to Belgium. We'd definitely recommend staying here, especially if you're visiting Pairi Daiza.which is only 15 minutes away!

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Das alte Pfarrhaus wurde in seiner alten Form belassen. Dadurch ist es völlig authentisch und trotzdem hat es an Komfort nicht gefehlt. Es ist alles vorhanden, die Zimmer sind sauber, die Einrichtung passt in dieses Haus. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt

Lovely, characterful house in a great location for Pairi Daiza zoo (15/20 minutes). Hosts also lovely and very helpful.
