Breakfast was varied so good choices. We only partook just before checking out as we went to our daughters the first morning of our stay. As we needed to catch a ferry we opted for simple but appreciated what was available although there was no bread, only bagels for toasting.
We couldn’t unlock the front door initially but we were able to text the hosts. Eventually another guest answered our knocks and explained the slight delay required to wait before trying to enter. No issues after that.
We expected not to share a bathroom for the price we paid and according to the info provided. On further investigation, by looking at all the photos, we did see where it specifies that two queen rooms on the second floor share a bath. It proved not to be that inconvenient as we were sharing with only one other person.

The location is great, the neighbourhood quiet, and well-located to South Granville and Oakridge neighbourhoods, and easy distance to airport - if you have a car. Granville bus route close by if not. The interior of the home is very comfortable, and the bed extremely so. The interior character of the old house is nice. Easy to get into with self-check-in instructions. Breakfast was self-serve in the big kitchen, with lots of cereals, bagels, and good strong coffee.
The exterior (landscaping, exterior paint of house) is in desperate need of some TLC. Some of the shutters for the front facade are broken, giving it a dilapidated look from the outside. I was a bit worried when I pulled up. My room (#1) was also by front door and kitchen, and given the age and character of the house, there is no sound-proofing, so heard other guests coming and going through front door, and heard them up early in the kitchen. Other rooms will not experience this as they are upstairs/downstairs, or removed from this front area, so I recommend booking one of those.
