The young lady at the reception was very very sweet and obliging. The room was extremely clean and the linen very fresh. Lovely soft pillows and a decent mattress.
To be very fair , for the price we paid it was not too bad BUT a few facts need to be taken into account. The double beds are very small and the linen very very small sizes so a disturbed night. There is no window in the bathroom nor is there hot water in the basin nor is there any ledge to place personal objects such a toothbrushes etc. The only window in the room is open to a long dark passage and no privacy if left open as well as the fact that the curtain is not wide enough so we had to place a towel to cover the gap. There is no where to hang any clothes. NO air con but a good overhead fan. The main reason to wonder if one would stay here is that the hotel is in a "red area' in San Jose and most undesirable so going out at night to eat eat as is very unsafe. Our taxi driver was most reluctant to leave us there. The Booking.com review said "Exceptional" - No definitely NOT NOT.
