Close to Plakias and some really beautiful beaches. It was clean. That’s about all I can say about it that’s positive.
There were a number of issues that made this stay unpleasant.
The apartment block had only been open for 10 days which would have been fine if the owners communicated that things were not quite finished and it was priced accordingly. The information about the property said ALL units had a washing machine which was a big reason we paid the higher price and booked here. Only to find our unit did not have a washing machine and to cut a long story short, the owner was passive aggressive and blamed this on us not looking at the pictures of the unit. It’s not up to us to determine whether their published information is accurate or not. We did ask for a partial refund because of this which had to be pursued through Booking.com as they were very unwilling to negotiate.
Upon arrival, we had to tell them we had arrived and asked for the information to get in. Most places we stay give you this well in advance. We had to ask for hot water to be turned onto the unit and wait 15 minutes – this seemed odd.
The grounds around the unit will basically dirt and very unappealing to look at. The unit is tiny, and does have cooking equipment but barely any space and no decent bench or storage in the kitchen. There were so many things lacking that we needed for basic kitchen use, we had to send a list and ask for them – rubbish bin & bags, chopping board, spatula, colander, mixing bowl.
One night we came home to the owner working on the neighbouring apartment at 9 pm at night – using power tools. And every attempt at communication, we were met with defensiveness. For that reason, we would not choose to stay here again.
