The flat is huge. There are three bedrooms in which in total at least six people can sleep comfortably. It's clear that the owners are keen on cleanliness and safety. The place was recently cleaned upon arrival. Are beds were made, and the doorman downstairs reguarly checks in in order to make you feel welcome and safe.
The communication with the owner, who at the time of writing lived elsewhere in Egypt, ran very smoothly. No question or remark was too much.
The WiFi-connection is strong and reliable. The ACs are working perfectly (new models without noise). The blankets are clean and smell fresh. The duvets are warm enough (interesting for the upcoming winter months). Albeit the hectic nature of the city, the flat is noise-free.
On a side note: an interesting collection of novels, including a Cairo Lonely Planet from 2002 (the good old days, can be found in the living room. Up for a book swap? :)
You will be on Street 213, a hot spot surrounded by nice restaurants, coffee bars, more books (book shops) and an easy metro connection to anywhere in Cairo nearby. There are a bunch of gyms, art galleries and people alike to interact with.
In case I return to Egypt, I would love to stay here again.
The details below are minor yet could potentially be improved for further guests:
(1) The flat is to be found on the third floor of a building without elevator. Not an issue for me at all.
(2) Due to a pressure issue with the water, I did not manage to shower with hot water once. I was told that issue would be taken care of, especially with winter arriving.
(3) If I were the owner, I would invest in a set of extra towels.
