About this apartment rental
The apartment 'Stellwerk St. Michaelisdonn' is located in Sankt Michaelisdonn in a historic signal box from 1920, where switches and tracks were once operated. Thanks to volunteer dedication, passion, and architectural sensitivity, the listed building has been lovingly transformed into an exclusive accommodation for railway enthusiasts and lovers of unique places. Here, historic charm meets modern comfort in a special way. The 56 m² apartment accommodates up to 2 guests and features 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. The kitchen is equipped for your convenience. Amenities include Wi-Fi (suitable for video conferences), TV, and self check-in.
Situated directly on the Marschenbahn, you can experience the fascination of railways up close while enjoying a stylish atmosphere in a building rich in history. Original features recall its former use and make your stay a unique experience.
Parking is available on the street. Please note: Pets are not allowed, and smoking or events are prohibited. This accommodation is for adults only. Open fires, candles, and barbecuing inside the building are not permitted for fire safety reasons. For single occupancy, the double bed is made up on one side only; if you wish both sides to be made up, please inform us in advance.
The hosts live on site, but not in the booked property. Passing train traffic is part of the special signal box experience. The historic signal box is an ideal starting point to explore the Dithmarschen region. Nearby you will find the Marschenbahn draisine, Sankt Michaelisdonn station, an outdoor pool, bakeries, a café, and a hotel. Other highlights include a windmill, golf course, airfield, and numerous cycling and hiking trails.
