It served its purpose and we enjoyed our 3 day stay.

An old traditional building in a nice neighbourhood. 5 minutes to the water's edge and a 15 walk to the centre of town. A small but warm and dry apartment.

Limited storage for clothes. Shower leaked into the bathroom floor. No corkscrew ! Uncomfortable settee.

Disappointing stay with poor amenities, little comfort and limited attention to detail.

The apartment is close to Bryggen.

This was a very disappointing stay and, in my opinion, the apartment is not good value for money. The advertisement was not clear that towels were an additional charge. They were listed as an extra charge under “Bathroom”, which I found misleading. When I queried this with the host, after two exchanges I was given a sarcastic response comparing it to a flight advertising Wi-Fi and a car advertising heated seats, implying that these things do not necessarily mean they are free. I found this response completely unnecessary and bordering on rude. A simple explanation would have been sufficient. Although the apartment appears to be on a quiet road, the road is very narrow and noise carries easily from the apartments opposite and from people walking past. Do not expect a good night's sleep. The worst aspect was the bedding, which is an additional charge. The duvet provided is not even the width of the bed. For two people, it simply isn't large enough to cover both guests unless you sleep very close together throughout the night. The blind also does not reach the bottom of the window, meaning anyone walking past could potentially see directly into the bedroom. I had to put clothes along the bottom of the blind to ensure we had privacy. Overall, this apartment needs some investment and attention to detail to make it feel like good value for money. The accommodation could be significantly improved with relatively little expenditure, and the host could also benefit from a more welcoming and professional approach to guest communication.
