It was comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed. It was great to have curtains for sleeping! It suited three people well.
The location was pretty good, there's a subway station pretty close, so you can get on a 5 or 10min ride to most places.
You could walk up to Umeda in like 20mins or down to Dotonbori in about half an hour. We mainly walked to the quiet north end of the shopping street Shinsaibashi in 15mins and walked south from there to Dotonbori.
It was nearish a busy Rd but quiet inside, I had the best sleep of my trip here since it felt snug and dark at night.
There are a number of convenience stores and chain restaurants nearby.
You're not right in the action, it's not too busy in the immediate neighbourhood but that worked out well for sleeping. And if you walk from the apartment to Dotonbori, it goes from quiet to super busy, so it's interesting to see the contrast.
The door to the apartment building is always open, different to other places where we had to usually unlock the building door too. It still felt super safe though.

After staying here for a few nights, I found it to be a great base for exploring Osaka. The room is much more spacious than a typical hotel room, and the overall design has a lot of character. I especially liked the combination of concrete finishes and wooden furniture—it has a subtle industrial feel without feeling cold or uninviting.
The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen, washing machine, and other amenities were all easy to use. They’re especially convenient if you’re staying for several days. The neighborhood is also fairly quiet at night, so it’s easy to relax and get a good night’s sleep.
The location is another big plus. Awaza is much less crowded than Namba or Shinsaibashi, while still offering easy subway access to Umeda, Namba, Nipponbashi, Nakanoshima, and Osaka Castle. There are also plenty of convenience stores and places to eat nearby.
Overall, compared with a standard hotel, staying here feels more like having your own apartment in Osaka. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip.
