An ideal central location with train & bus station close by. It was a very comfortable apartment for our family stay. It had 2 bathrooms & the bedrooms were very comfortable with plenty drawer & hanging space. The living room & kitchen were combined & had all we needed for a comfortable stay.

No parking on site so had to park unload the car then park it elsewhere. Ideal if travelling by bus or train .

Check-in was straightforward and easy, and the location is excellent, right in the heart of the city centre. The bed and sofa bed were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the apartment itself was cosy. The central location is definitely one of its biggest selling points.

My biggest disappointment was the lack of communication before our stay. The day before we were due to travel, yellow and then amber weather warnings were issued for the Scottish Highlands due to two consecutive storms. As we were travelling by car, we were concerned about whether we could reach the property safely, or at all. Although our booking was non-refundable and had already been paid for, I messaged the property to explain the circumstances and ask if they would consider an exception. When I received no response, I submitted a cancellation request through Booking.com, which was rejected within an hour. I then submitted a second request through Booking.com support, which was rejected within half an hour. I sent another message asking for a response, but this was also ignored. I understand that the property was within its rights to refuse a refund under the booking terms. My issue was the complete lack of communication throughout the process. Even a brief response explaining their decision would have been appreciated. This was the most disappointing aspect of our experience. On arrival, we also found stains on the bed sheets and hairs on the pillows and underneath the duvet. As it was nighttime, I messaged the property, who responded promptly and arranged for the bedding to be changed the following morning. I appreciated their quick response, although the bedding should have been checked before our arrival. The central location also comes with considerable street noise, as our apartment faced the road. Traffic and people outside made it difficult to sleep with the windows open, which is worth considering if you’re a light sleeper. Finally, the walls between our apartment and the neighbouring one are very thin, meaning conversations and movement can be clearly heard. We were woken up on all three mornings, between approximately 7:15 and 8:00 am, by what sounded like loud dishwasher loading, as well as loud conversations and doors being slammed.
