BEWARE — HOST CANCELED MY RESERVATION ON THE DAY OF ARRIVAL
Absolutely unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional experience. I booked this property approximately TWO MONTHS in advance for my trip to Miami, only to have the host cancel my reservation on October 16th, the very day I landed in Miami.
The reason provided? OVERBOOKING.
How does a property accept and confirm a reservation months in advance, only to suddenly realize on the day of check-in that they cannot accommodate their guest?
I was left stranded in Miami during an extremely busy festival weekend, scrambling to find somewhere else to stay at the last minute. Because of this host's complete failure to honor my confirmed reservation, I was forced to book another hotel at an additional cost of approximately $400.
What should have been an exciting start to my vacation instead turned into an incredibly stressful and expensive situation, entirely because of this property's poor reservation management.
I cannot speak to the actual accommodations because I WAS NEVER GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO STAY THERE.
If you're considering booking this property, understand that even a confirmed reservation made months in advance apparently does not guarantee you will have somewhere to stay when you arrive.
I would NEVER book this property again, and I strongly recommend others think twice before trusting this host with their travel plans.
