⭐ 1/5 — Absolutely dreadful. Avoid at all costs. I genuinely don’t know where to begin with this place. Our experience started badly before we had even checked in. When we arrived, we were told that we would have to wait because the owner was out shopping. Apparently there was no one available to check us in despite us arriving expecting the property to be ready for our arrival. Not exactly the welcome you expect when you’ve paid for accommodation. Unfortunately, things didn’t improve once we finally got inside. The property was nothing like a clean, comfortable place to stay. The bathroom looked like it had been neglected for decades, with filthy flooring, stained and worn fixtures, peeling paint and general grime everywhere. The toilet area was particularly unpleasant, and the rusty, battered-looking equipment around it certainly didn’t inspire confidence. The bath looked like it desperately needed replacing, and the walls, ceiling and woodwork throughout the property were tired, damaged and badly maintained. The bedroom wasn’t much better. There were obvious cracks, patches and poor repairs everywhere. The ceiling even had a large, badly finished patch that looked like someone had attempted a repair and simply decided that was good enough. The doors and surrounding woodwork were also in poor condition, with gaps, rough edges and plenty of evidence of years of neglect. Then there was the aquarium. Instead of being a nice feature, it contained ridiculously green, murky water. It looked less like an aquarium and more like a neglected pond. I was genuinely surprised the fish were still visible. And then came the night’s entertainment — whether we wanted it or not. Other guests were playing music until around 02:00, while at roughly the same time people decided to have what sounded like a shouting competition directly outside our room.

A poor experience

Room was reasonably clean

Key left in door no one at reception. No details in room about toilet or bathroom availability. No TV remote could not get working. Smoke alarm battery low in entrance just outside room so pipping audible intermittent tone all the time. Empty fish tank with pump just outside door could hear it running. A multiple occupancy premises so people moving in and out of the entrance just outside the Room and holding conversations till the early hours. Single glazed sliding windows propped open with bits of wood. Near main road so traffic noise from articulated vehicles and cars travelling to ferry. Wanted to catch some sleep before setting of for early AM ferry managed none.

Do budynku może wejść każdy. Łazienka jest osobno i ok, ale nie ma do niej ani kodu dostępu ani klucza. Również każdy nawet z zewnątrz może z niej skorzystać. Jest w fatalnym stanie. Osad z kamienia w wannie, toalecie. Budno i strach cokolwiek dotknąć. Budynek wygląda jak z planu zdjęciowego jakiegoś horroru, z sufitów kapie woda, na ziemi stoja miski do jej łapania. Okno w pokoju jest otwarte bez możliwości jego zamknięcia i podparte przełamanymi na kolanie deskami. Drzwi do pokoju są z dykty, którą z łatwością mogłaby wyłamać osoba 70+. W pokoju pachnie stęchlizną, wyposażenie wygląda jak pozbieranie ze skipów. Przed wejściem do pokoju stoi ogromne zaniedbane akwarium z zieloną mętną wodą w której nadal próbują żyć ryby. Ze ścian odpada tynk. Absolutnie odradzam, chyba, że ktoś lubi adrenalinę i nie boi się o swoje rzeczy i o siebie. My nie zdecydowaliśmy się tam zostać na noc.

Sehr netter Vermieter, weiß viel von Dover zu erzählen, direkte Nähe zur Fähre,(Achtung Verkehr inkl.)im Rücken die Kreidefelsen, spannendes, schönes altes Haus,

Ausstattung könnte etwas besser sein, Es gab kein Handtuch, das Bad ist sehr einfach, aber das hat uns nicht gestört. Man sollte es jedoch vorher prüfen, ob einem dies egal ist.
