Absolute scam. Misleading pics, garbage everywhere, plastic burning right beside, no drinking water
I am forcefully pushing myself to stay the staff as there is nothing else
I genuinely don't know how this place has the nerve to be listed on Booking.com, because the reality is NOTHING like what is advertised.
Let me start with the biggest red flag.
We booked through Booking.com specifically with “Pay at property.” After I accidentally called them to ask about early check-in, they suddenly told me that I HAD TO MAKE A PAYMENT THROUGH SOME OTHER PORTAL ASAP OR THE BOOKING WOULD BE CANCELLED. What if i had not called and showed up directly?
You book through Booking.com with “pay at property,” and then they pressure you to send money through some completely different payment portal, threatening cancellation if you don't do it immediately.
That is shady as hell. It immediately felt like a scam attempt.
And then we arrived.
Holy shit.
The photos on Booking.com appear to have absolutely nothing to do with the reality of this place. If I had seen what this property actually looked like, I would never have booked it.
What welcomes you is HUGE PILES OF GARBAGE. Beer cans. Plastic bottles. Random rubbish everywhere.
And it doesn't stop there.
Plastic bottles are literally being burned RIGHT NEXT TO YOU. Not “somewhere nearby.” Not “a little smoke in the distance.” RIGHT FUCKING NEXT TO WHERE YOU ARE STAYING.
You are basically sitting there surrounded by garbage and breathing smoke from burning plastic.
It genuinely feels like someone dumped a garbage pile and then decided to put accommodation next to it.
And then you discover there isn't even basic drinking water.
NO DRINKING WATER.
NO WATER FILTER.
Want drinking water? Go approximately 4 km into town and get it yourself.
And forget about making a simple cup of tea. There isn't even basic equipment for that.
Eventually we had to borrow a pan from the staff and even that was without a proper handle.
This isn't about expecting a luxury resort.
I don't give a shit if the place is basic.
Basic is fine.
