GEEN AANRADER, NIET DOEN
Heel weinig...
Qua uitvalsbasis is Swindon prima. Tot max uurtje naar Oxford, Bath, Stonehenge, Cottswolds.
Naast diverse defecten/nodige verbeteringen in het appartement (bv rioollucht in keuken, vaatwasdeur welke maar half open ging (dus onderste gedeelte nauwelijks in of uit te laden) ivm plek plaatsing wasmachine (uitstaande deurrand), defecte stopcontacten, vriezer die het niet goed deed (had ook scheuren en opzetdeur was beschadigd, denk dat die daardoor niet goed sloot), viezigheid die uit de tegels kwam bij de badkamer en telkens op de grond viel/lag, verduisteringsgordijn welke niet meer omlaag bleef etc).
(Op verzoek van verhuurder heb ik er foto's van gestuurd en zouden ze dit melden... of en wat verholpen gaat worden, geen idee).
MAAR... het ergste was de enorme geluidshinder tot zeker 01.30u in de nacht en weer start vanaf 5.30u. 4 nachten nauwelijks geslapen.
Iedere stap is hoorbaar van bovenburen en op de trap (als zij naar beneden gaan). En niet een beetje maar flink, werd veelal ervaren als stampen en rennen. 2e nacht ook last van harde muziek, die aanstond.
Er is zeker contact geweest met de verhuurder, dag 1 en dag 2, maar de beloofde terugkoppeling van dag 2 niet ontvangen en zelf maar naar gevraagd op dag 4 (vertrek). Als reactie werd aangegeven dat ze het gemeld hadden bij gebouwmanager, maar dat ze geen invloed hadden op gedrag van de andere bewoners.
Maar dit ligt niet alleen of voornamelijk aan de andere bewoners, al denk ik wel dat ze wellicht wat meer aanwezig en bewegelijk zijn dan anderen, maar aan de constructie van het gebouw; dit omdat iedere voetstap al zo hoorbaar is.
Ohja, als verdere opvolging geven ze aan dat zij mij niet verder kunnen helpen en dat ik maar contact moet leggen met booking.com voor verdere bemiddeling...
Het contact en de officiele klacht, met booking.com heb ik ondertussen opgestart ter indiening van een compensatie claim; nog geen reactie daarvan.
Kortom... TOTAAL GEEN AANRADER (als je nachtrust belangrijk vindt). Is de prijs per nacht totaal niet waard. Nog veel verbeteringen benodigd.
