Not as advertised, filthy and badly maintained
Excellent location, lovely pool
The apartment was NOT as advertised and was extremely dirty and poorly maintained.
We booked a two bedroom apartment for two separate families. The listing clearly stated one double bed in bedroom 1, one single bed in bedroom 2, and a sofa bed in the living room. In reality there was only ONE bedroom. The second bed was a fold up bed squeezed next to the double bed, meaning there was no second bedroom or privacy.
The apartment was not properly prepared for our arrival. The fold up bed had blood stains and other stains. There were no bed covers for it. The other beds were not made up.
The toilet seat was hanging off. The door frame and main door handle were also hanging off. The freezer and microwave were filthy. The bedroom drawers were falling apart, unusable and contained rubbish from previous guests. The living room curtain had been pulled off its rail and stuffed in a wardrobe.
Several lights and both televisions were unusable. The WiFi did not work either. The owner claimed it was not advertised. It clearly IS advertised on Booking.com.
We photographed everything immediately on arrival. The owner refused to accept the condition of the apartment, refused to come and inspect it personally and refused to send cleaners.
This was not simply a basic apartment. It was advertised incorrectly, dirty and badly maintained. The owner also refused to provide a full refund so that we could leave and find suitable accommodation elsewhere.
