The total opposite of what I was expecting. Very bad experience

The Location is somewhat close to the beach. But not very close. What I really liked is the apartments look like western apartments and are kinda new. Security and cleanliness of the building perimeter is good.

My experience was very disappointing and did not match the listing at all. The host was not aware I was arriving that day. Although I booked a ground floor studio with sea view , I was given a room on the 9th floor that looked nothing like the photos. The room had no running hot water, the fridge was not working, and there were dirty sheets and towels in the cupboards. There were no slippers or soap in the bathroom. The place looked like it had not been lived in for months. The Host did not provide a reason why she put me in a different room . The host did make an effort to fix the issues I raised, which I appreciate, but poor planning led to a poor outcome. On the morning of my first day the toilet would not flush. The host sent a technician, but he arrived with several other people from the neighborhood, some as young as 12, who did not appear to be part of a professional team. I had to stay in the room while they came in and out, which was very uncomfortable. I counted about 7 people coming and go in a tiny room like it was. They spent 2 days tryinna fixing issues without success. That same morning, we were in the dark as the host had not topped up more Electricity. The host apologized for the issues , but this could have been avoided with accurate photos and better preparation. The owners can make an effort to pave the 5 meter drive way that lead to the front of the buildings. I would not recommend booking this studio.

A cozy and homely place

The location is top tier, it’s close by everywhere. All the appliances in the rooms are modern, so very easy to use. Plus point: beds are great. We booked for just one night but stayed 3 nights because the host Kulwa is a very lovely woman. She really cares about her guests and that makes staying here much better. Keep up the good work. Some of the apartments are very nice. I would have given a 10/10 if it wasn’t for the last night. The other hosts of block C (Rebby apartments) wasn’t accommodating. This we will discuss with Kulwa after our trip in Zanzibar.

There wasn’t a good wifi connection and because the apartments are not yet completely finished there are lots of dust. So for people like me who are allergic to dust sleeping at night can be challenging. Also if you’re traveling with lots of suitcases it can be challenging too because the rooms are very small.
