Bel appartement, propre pour un couple ou un couple avec un enfant, situation idéale si on veut centrer nos déplacements vers Pigalle ou Montmartre.

A fantastic, well-equipped apartment in an excellent location.
We had a fantastic stay here. The apartment is in an excellent location — literally moments from the Metro and only metres from the bottom of the steps leading up to Sacré-Cœur. The surrounding streets are full of lovely bistros, boutiques and plenty of character. Every corner seemed to reveal another charming cobbled street. There are some great spots for breakfast near by, also lunch and dinner, but we were particularly “wowed” by the breakfast at le saint Jean which is a short 5/10 min walk opposite abbesses metro station. It had more of a local feel to it. We went both mornings of our stay. It’s also such a pleasant saunter through the cobbled streets early in the morning looking in the shop windows. After spending time exploring the more central areas of Paris, all four of us agreed that we had made the right choice staying here and would actually choose this location again over staying somewhere more central.
The apartment itself is thoughtfully and cleverly designed to make the most of every inch of space. There is plenty of storage, so even if you’re staying for more than a few days, you can unpack and really make yourself at home. There is a good-sized fridge and freezer, plenty of cupboard space and all the basic utensils you could need. A dishwasher tablet and laundry tablet were provided, along with washing-up liquid, tea and coffee. It really does feel like a home from home, and the owners have thought of almost everything you could possibly need. The towels were fresh and fluffy, and the sofa bed was a really decent size.
I wanted to address a couple of things from previous reviews, as these were things I was particularly mindful of when booking and made me a little nervous. (I needn’t had worried)
The musty smell: Yes, there is a slight smell when you first walk through the door, but it is quite mild and, honestly, after a minute or so you don’t notice it at all. …TBC
Given the nature of the apartment, I think it’s understandable. It is a small apartment with limited ventilation, natural light and windows. There is a window in the bathroom and some natural light comes through the skylight in the main room, but it isn’t particularly airy. This didn’t bother us at all, although I can understand it potentially being more noticeable during a heatwave. For us, it certainly wasn’t enough to negatively impact our stay.
The bedroom overlooks the courtyard and, yes, the light does automatically come on when someone walks past. However, there is a very simple solution…you can just step outside and close the shutters on the external side of the window. It’s really not a big deal and certainly didn’t bother us.
We stayed as a family of four with a one year old and a 15 year old. The baby slept in bed with us and our 15-year-old used the sofa bed, and the apartment worked absolutely perfectly for us. It’s modern, clean and comfortable. Thats all you can ask for. The building itself is old and a little creaky, but we found that added to its charm and gave us that lovely feeling of staying in a traditional Parisian apartment block. The little courtyard is simple yet charming and such a lovely feature.
I did have a moment of panic when we hadn’t received the access instructions by the night before our arrival, but they were sent first thing in the morning and were very easy to follow. So if you’re staying here and haven’t received them yet, there’s no need to worry, the hosts will be in touch. We also received a couple of WhatsApp messages during our stay checking that everything was okay. The hosts were friendly and communicative, although we didn’t meet them in person.
A couple of small things that would have made the stay even better: instructions for using the dishwasher and washing machine would have been helpful, and a couple of dishcloths for wiping down surfaces would have been useful. Cotton bedding would have been more comfortable
