The apartment was clean, conveniently located within walking distance of the subway, and reasonably priced for Tokyo, especially considering it had two separate bedrooms. Those were definitely the main positive aspects of our stay.
Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing.
The biggest issue was the noise. The apartment was EXTREMELY noisy throughout the night, with construction work and traffic making it very difficult to sleep. Despite being clean, the apartment was also very small and not particularly comfortable.
We were also disappointed by the management’s lack of flexibility. We politely requested a late checkout of just ONE additional hour, which was refused. Considering that checkout is at 11 AM and check-in isn’t until 4 PM, allowing five hours to clean such a small apartment, we found this unnecessarily rigid and hardly guest-friendly.
On top of that, guests are instructed to sort and take out their own garbage. We specifically chose Booking.com expecting a more traditional hospitality experience rather than the chores typically associated with vacation rentals.
Overall, the experience felt more like a basic short-term rental than a welcoming accommodation. It was acceptable for two nights, but we certainly wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer, and we would not book here again.
