I picked this rental because it's in a great location and offered more space than a hotel room for my son and I to stretch out and relax when we weren't at the beach and Seaworld. We only stayed in this property for two nights, and I’m glad it wasn’t a night more. The first thing we noticed was a strange smell in the larger bedroom. The sheets in that bedroom were liquid stained and dirty also, with a broken glass on the floor next to the nightstand. It was gross to sleep in a bed that I suspect was not changed with sheets with clean sheets from the last guest. There are lots of spiderwebs in the kitchen in between the floor and the cabinets. My son killed a spider in the second bedroom where he slept. Additionally, in the kitchen, we found that the dishes were dirty. The mugs had dried up coffee stains in the bottom of them. The glasses had white junk floating in them when we poured ourselves a glass of water. I immediately knew that I had to wash anything before we could actually use it. My son commented a couple times that the towels in the bathroom smelled very strange. If I could have washed the towels before we used them, I would have. This property really needs some proper cleaning and pest control. Also 3 fireplaces in this small space is a bit unnecessary. I would rather have had a dresser under the tv in the bedrooms so there is place to unpack. It was easier for us to leave our suite case open on the floor and not unpack as there wasn’t a place to put things. I've stayed at many airbnbs, vrbo's over the years, but I will be more cautious moving forward and pick properties with more than one review. Lesson learned. I've never left a negative review before. I always try to give honest reviews, and that is what I have done here. I took photos of all described in this review, I would upload and share if this platform allowed me to do so.
