What was there not to like! Very friendly and accommodating hosts, a large property with great facilities, beautiful views and so many places to visit. And if you like books, you couldn't find a better place to stay. As soon as I saw the huge bookcase in the lounge room filled with hundreds of books and the big comfy armchair, I knew I could happily spend a rainy day reading. And our host Shane runs an online bookshop from the garden and I enjoyed a visit and a chat about books. During our lengthy stay, we found having a laundry, second WC, large kitchen and large lounge really handy. Tarrington was close to many places we wanted to visit and we thoroughly recommend a day spent in Hereford-best and cheapest parking was at the Leisure Centre which was only a short walk over the old bridge to the centre of town. Really recommend morning tea at the Cloisters Cafe in the cathedral and the cathedral itself is very interesting plus don't miss the Chained Library and Mappa Mundi exhibition. We also recommend Sorrel and Sage tearoom plus Hedgerow gifts at the village of Trumpet. Lots of other great places to visit like a day in Hay on Wye (for books), Croft Castle, Goodrich Castle and Berrington Hall. One of the best accommodations we have stayed in in the UK. very quirt, off the main roads, great layout, have two WC is prefect when eating or cooking downstairs, very clean, good kitchen for cooking
