Welcome to the Ostend Bungalow in Mission Beach! This charming bungalow is just five houses from the beach, making it the perfect destination for your beach vacation.
Relax and unwind with a glass of wine and some snacks as you take a break from work or kick off your weekend. Whether you’re traveling solo, with family, or with friends, this is the perfect weekend getaway to create unforgettable memories.
Welcome to the Ostend Bungalow in Mission Beach! Designed by renowned interior designer Catalina View and stylist Mandy Marie, this professionally curated beach bungalow is one of the most photogenic Airbnbs in San Diego—perfect for your next vacation rental stay.
Our spacious three-bedroom, two-bathroom home features queen beds in every bedroom, ensuring comfort for you and your guests. The hallway bathroom includes a bathtub with a shower, while the master bathroom features a spacious stand-alone shower. You’ll find TVs in two of the bedrooms and in the living room, with complimentary cable available in the living room—ideal for sports fans and cozy nights in.
Step outside to enjoy four beach chairs and six beach towels, perfect for relaxing on the sand. After a day at the beach, fire up the BBQ grill and gather around the outdoor firepit to roast s’mores. (Note: We have two propane tanks, but guests are responsible for refilling them if they run out mid-stay.)
Our Mission Beach bungalow is walking distance to some of the best restaurants and coffee shops in the area. Head to Miss B’s Coconut Club for a festive cocktail, or grab the “BEST DRINK EVER” at Better Buzzed to fuel your beach adventures.
Parking: We have a garage, but it’s small (my GMC Yukon Denali doesn’t fit). You’ll find street parking and additional parking at the Mission Bay Aquatics Center lot within walking distance. Please note: Parking can be challenging from May through August, so bring patience!
This bohemian bungalow does NOT share any walls with the other house and has a private entrance accessed via an electronic keypad. Everything is all one story, offering a seamless and comfortable layout.

Guests will have access to the house as well as the front patio.
The laundry area is located inside the garage and is shared with the upstairs unit. Please note that the cleaning staff may occasionally use the laundry machine to clean items for the upstairs unit.
I live in Orange County, CA, therefore I will not be there to greet my guests in person!
Less then a five minute walk you will be at the beach! There is a surfing school that is also close by where you can rent bikes, roller blades, surfboards, etc. This bungalow is conveniently located walking distance to Better Buzzed Coffee, Miss B`s Coconut Club, Guava, Olive, and more! Our home is also located very close to a bus stop making it very easy to travel around San Diego. Sea World is only a ten minute drive. Pacific Beach is a quick UBER or Lyft (3 minutes) or a 10-15 minute walk along the boardwalk. We also have board games and cards inside the house for a rainy day.
We suggest ride share to get around SD. However, there is a bus stop that is a thirty second walk away.

1. **Quiet Hours**
Quiet hours are strictly 10:00 PM–7:00 AM. Please keep noise to a minimum and respect our neighbors. The property has a Minut noise-monitoring device. Excessive noise or violations may result in a $200 charge, subject to applicable laws and Airbnb policies.
2. **Check-Out & Late Check-Out**
Check-out is strictly 10:00 AM. Late check-out must be requested in advance and approved by the host, depending on availability. Unauthorized late check-out may result in a $100 charge for additional cleaning and scheduling costs, where permitted.
3. **Check-Out Checklist**
Before leaving, please:
- Gather used towels in one place.
- Leave the house tidy; no deep cleaning is required.
- Load dirty dishes into the dishwasher, if applicable.
- Return keys to the lockbox and garage clickers to the kitchen counter, where applicable.
- Turn off all AC units, lights, and appliances.
4. **Essentials & Supplies**
A starter supply for approximately three days is provided, including:
- **Bathroom:** Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and toilet paper.
- **Kitchen:** Paper towels, dishwashing liquid, dish sponge, and trash bags.
- **Cleaning & Laundry:** Basic cleaning supplies and laundry detergent, if available.
Guests are responsible for purchasing additional supplies needed during longer stays. Supplies are not replenished unless otherwise specified.
5. **Furniture & Property Items**
Please do not rearrange furniture. Return any moved items to their original positions before check-out. Treat all furniture, décor, appliances, and household items with care. Documented damage, loss, or reasonable restoration costs may be charged where permitted by applicable laws and Airbnb policies.
6. **Monthly Rental Utility Cap**
Utility caps vary by property. Please message the host to confirm the exact utility cap for this unit. Any excess utility charges will be handled according to the agreed rental terms, applicable laws, and Airbnb policies.
7. **Filming & Photography**
Personal photography and filming are allowed as long as they respect neighbors` privacy and do not damage the property.
Filming is permitted provided noise is kept to a minimum at all times, especially during quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Guests must ensure that filming does not disturb neighbors or create excessive noise.
Commercial filming, professional productions, or content creation involving crews, additional equipment, or unregistered visitors require prior written approval. Unauthorized parties and events are prohibited.
8. **No Smoking**
Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the property, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and indoor common areas. A $300 smoking fee and documented additional cleaning or damage costs may apply where permitted by applicable laws and Airbnb policies.
9. **Pets**
A maximum of one pet is allowed with prior host approval and payment of the applicable pet fee. Guests are responsible for their pet`s behavior, cleaning up after it, and any damage caused. Unauthorized pets may result in applicable charges. Assistance animals are handled according to applicable laws and Airbnb policies.
10. **Rental Agreement & Guest Responsibilities**
Guests must comply with the applicable rental agreement, reservation details, occupancy limits, payment terms, utility arrangements, and property-use rules. Please report any damage, maintenance issues, or safety concerns to the host promptly. Additional rental terms must comply with applicable laws and Airbnb policies.
11.Unauthorized Guests: If you bring additional guests without notifying us and receiving prior approval, we reserve the right to terminate your stay and require you to vacate the property. A fee of $100 per unauthorized guest will apply, including any additional guests discovered after checkout.
12.Noise Complaints: Any noise complaint may result in a $500 fee.
