About this apartment rental

We warmly welcome you to the beautiful Marsberg Diemel Valley.
Here, the Diemel River flows through the gateway to the Sauerland, past green meadows, forests, mountains, and the Diemeltal vacation rental.
After an eventful and beautiful trip—for example, along the Diemel Bike Trail—this is the perfect place to relax and recharge before setting off on new adventures.
Your hosts, Margit and Hans-Josef Gockeln

The Apartment
The 60-square-meter vacation apartment, newly completed and furnished in 2017, invites you to linger. The spacious living and dining room is bathed in natural light thanks to the adjoining terrace and features modern furnishings.
The rainforest shower revitalizes both body and mind after a strenuous day. The apartment also features a fully equipped, modern built-in kitchen.
In addition to the bedroom with a double bed, two more people can sleep on the sofa bed in the living room. A crib can be provided upon request.

Marsberg in the Sauerland
In the northeastern part of the Sauerland region, the town of Marsberg lies at the foot of the historic Eresburg Castle in the Diemel Valley. Its 20,000 residents are spread across 17 districts, which border the county line with Paderborn, the state line with Waldeck (Hesse), and the city of Brilon. As a result, for many visitors, the city of Marsberg serves as the eastern gateway to the Sauerland, which offers wonderful destinations for day trips in both summer and winter.

Activities
Marsberg is the ideal starting point for exciting tours, especially for hiking and cycling enthusiasts. To the north, the Eggeweg trail begins here and leads in several stages to its destination 70 km away: the Externsteine in the Lipperland region. In the opposite direction, two variations of the Sauerland Forest Route begin here, ending in Iserlohn after challenging stages through the Hochsauerland district.
Cyclists will also find plenty to enjoy here. The adjacent Bike Arena Sauerland offers numerous trails for mountain bikers, and the Diemel Bike Path runs along the riverbank from Usseln to Bad Karlshafen. The apartment is located right on the bike path.
