Welcome to our Schönbachhof vacation home—where guests become friends.
A vacation for connoisseurs—let your mind wander.
Our goal was to create a vacation home where we ourselves would love to stay. We took over this house two years ago and completely renovated it. We exposed and waxed the beautiful old wooden floors, installed new windows with roller shutters, and beautified the rooms with mineral plaster in pastel colors. In the large kitchen, we combined beautiful antique furniture with new kitchen cabinets, equipped with modern appliances and all the necessary accessories, so that even enthusiastic home cooks will find everything they need.
The bathroom was completely renovated, featuring underfloor heating, a walk-in shower, and truly impressive tiles. The highlight is the large rooftop terrace, paved with Italian cotto tiles. The view over the village to the other side of the valley is breathtaking. In the evening, you can wind down here under the starry sky—perhaps with a glass of wine. That’s the pure vacation feeling.
I’m happy to provide suggestions for day trips, information, and even create customized hiking, horseback riding, and cycling routes on Komoot for you. I take great pleasure in showing our guests our beautiful Palatinate Forest in this way—even off the beaten path, with its castles, views, and bizarre sandstone formations.
Our Schönbachhof guesthouse, with its guest rooms, is less than a 4-minute walk away, so I’m always happy to help. As a “Pfalz zu Pferd” station, horses can also enjoy their stay at our Schönbachhof facility—located just 200 meters away—either in stalls or pasture paddocks.

Schönbachhof Vacation Home:
Our Schönbachhof vacation home is located on a quiet side street with a view of the entire village and the forest. We took over the house, which was built around 1960, in June 2023 and completely and lovingly renovated it.
It features a spacious living room, a bright hallway, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area on the first floor. The old wooden floors and the beautiful old wooden staircase have been sanded, refinished, and waxed.
The two bedrooms with double beds, a bathroom with natural light, a large shower, and underfloor heating, as well as a large rooftop terrace with lounge chairs and a breathtakingly beautiful view, are located on the first floor.
Only mineral-based plaster in pastel colors was used for the wall finishes.
Of course, it is equipped with a TV and Wi-Fi. A private parking space is located right next to the house.
The basement, which has natural light, features a washing machine and a dryer (€8.00 fee). Bicycles can also be stored here, and wet jackets or riding coats can be hung up. There’s also space here for hiking boots and riding boots.
The village center—with an excellent bakery, a bus stop, and the Molino restaurant—is 300 m away.
Many hiking trails, as well as Mountain Bike Tour 8, begin about 250 m away. Silzer Lake, with its sunbathing area and tree nature trail, is about 300 m away.
On-site fees: Washing machine and dryer available for a fee (€8). Pets allowed upon prior arrangement for a fee.
