The former GDR workshop building from the 1950s—a former Minol gas station in the GDR—was completely modernized in 2025 with great attention to detail and converted into vacation apartments.
Today, the accommodations combine modern, stylish living comfort with ample space, a large rooftop terrace, and an excellent location not far from Naumburg’s historic downtown.
The 95 m² vacation apartment offers ideal conditions for families, friends, technicians, cyclists, or business travelers. In total, there are four separate bedrooms, each equipped with a comfortable bed, a smart TV, free Wi-Fi, a wardrobe, a coat rack, a mirror, and a fan. The apartment is flexible in its use: by default, the four bedrooms comfortably accommodate four individuals. However, in two of the four bedrooms, the high-quality single beds can be arranged as double beds. This makes the accommodation ideal for both two couples and two single individuals—such as families with child(ren)—as well as for larger travel groups seeking individual sleeping comfort.
All beds are equipped with high-quality 7-zone mattresses, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after an eventful day in the Saale-Unstrut region.
The heart of the apartment is the spacious kitchen-living room, featuring a large dining table, a smart TV, and a fully equipped kitchen. From here, you have direct access to the approximately 20 m² rooftop terrace, which features patio furniture and a sun lounger—perfect for relaxing in the sun, enjoying a cozy breakfast, or spending leisurely evenings with a glass of local wine.
The modern bathroom stands out for its practical and comfortable amenities:

• large shower
• two sinks
• two separately lockable restroom areas
This makes the apartment ideal for families and groups on longer stays.
The location offers an ideal combination of tranquility and convenient access to the city center:

• A 5-minute walk to downtown Naumburg
• A 10-minute walk to the cathedral (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
• A 15-minute walk to the -Bulabana- Sports & Leisure Pool with sauna area (open year-round)
• Bus stop just about 50 meters from the vacation rental, providing a direct connection to the train station
• Ideal starting point for excursions in the Saale-Unstrut region by bike, bus, or train, as well as for sightseeing and hiking
• Parking for two cars is available on the property and in the surrounding area between 10 m and 150 m away.
• Bicycles: A bike storage room is available for up to 6 bicycles.
• The supermarket is a 3-minute walk from the vacation rental (EDEKA with a bakery); a bakery in town is a 7-minute walk away.
For cyclists and active vacationers:
A lockable bike storage room for up to six bikes is available for cyclists. This makes it the perfect starting point for extended bike tours through the Burgenlandkreis region and along the popular Saale Bike Trail.
The Saale Bike Trail is easily accessible and is only about 20 minutes away by bike or about 10 minutes by car.

Let yourself be inspired by the impressive and diverse landscape along the Saale and Unstrut rivers. Discover breathtaking natural landscapes, idyllic villages, and historic towns. Numerous attractions—such as the Nebra Sky Disk, beautiful parks, water mills, museums, castles, palaces, and monasteries—make every tour a special experience.
The many cozy inns and restaurants along the bike path also invite you to take a relaxing break and enjoy regional specialties at any time.
The same goes for the impressive canoe trips along the Saale River: Passing steep cliffs, castles, and palaces, you can admire the surroundings wonderfully from a canoe or rubber dinghy—perfect for unwinding. (Short trips ranging from 4 hours to full-day excursions are available)

Welcome to the beautiful Burgenlandkreis—a unique region rich in history, nature, and enjoyment. The cathedral city of Naumburg captivates visitors with its historic charm, the famous Naumburg Cathedral—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—and the idyllic Saale-Unstrut wine region.
I warmly welcome you to my vacation apartments, “Zur Alten Tankstelle & Alte Tankstelle,” which were completely renovated in 2025 and are located in the center of the cathedral city of Naumburg an der Saale. The surrounding area invites you to go on beautiful hikes, discover impressive sights, and explore the region’s numerous wineries during a wine testing featuring excellent Saale-Unstrut wines.
The region also offers plenty of opportunities for active vacationers. Boat tours along the Saale, passing vineyards, castles, and idyllic landscapes, quickly become an unforgettable experience. For cyclists, the Saale Cycle Route is one of the most charming and varied river cycle routes in Germany and offers ideal conditions for extended bike tours through the Burgenlandkreis district.
, Whether by water, bike, or on foot—along the routes, numerous cozy inns and restaurants invite you to linger and enjoy regional specialties.
, If you’d rather take it a bit easier, you can reach downtown Naumburg in just about 5 minutes on foot for a leisurely stroll through the city. Nature lovers can walk about 20 minutes to the Arboretum Rosengarten city park and on to the Waldschlosswiesen. There, the Bürgergarten forest restaurant also invites you to linger and enjoy delicious home-style cooking.
And for sauna and swimming enthusiasts, the bulabana Sport- und Freizeitbad Naumburg is just the place. It offers year-round swimming fun, a spacious sauna area, and a wide range of wellness and recreational activities, and is just a 15-minute walk from the vacation rental.

Arrival is possible from 3:00 PM to midnight. Check-out is due by 11:00 AM. Other arrival and departure times are possible upon consultation and approval. Please contact us in a timely manner to arrange this if necessary. We ask our guests to let us know their approximate arrival time at least one day before arrival (via WhatsApp or text message). You will then receive the access codes for the key safe either on the day of arrival or one day before your arrival.
