About this house rental
This welcoming retreat has a calm, comfortable interior. A comfortable seating corner looks out to the surrounding mountains, giving you a strong sense of the landscape even when you stay indoors. The provided fishing licence makes it easy to plan days by local waters during your stay in this part of Norway. After time outside, you can return to this relaxed space to sit together, read or chat and simply enjoy being inside. Borgund is best known for the remarkable Borgund Stave Church, one of Norway’s best-preserved medieval wooden churches and a highlight of the scenic Lærdal Valley. The surrounding area offers excellent hiking opportunities through mountain landscapes, valleys, and historic trails, including sections of the old King's Road (Vindhellavegen). Visitors can also explore the dramatic scenery of the nearby Filefjell mountains and enjoy day trips to the Sognefjord region, known for its fjords, waterfalls, and traditional Norwegian villages.
