Pavilion Essence Hanoi Hotel

I would rate it 10 stars if had the option , the service is top notch exceeding any 5 star hotels too. we reached at 6am , were immediately offered a chilled welcome drink and water. After completing the formalities they asked us to relax and if needed take a shower as rooms would be ready by 2pm only. When we checked in the room, we found discrepancy as the websites mentioned it as 270sqft ,(25 sqmt) but actually the room was 19sqmt. The moment we informed them about this, they immediately shifted is to a bigger room and apologied for the error on the websites. Though the pics where as shown. Clean rooms, the icing on the cake was their rooftop restaurant. They pampered is with pure vegetarian ( no eggs ) delights for breakfast, Eric was amazing he prepared some excellent coffees for us to try and had vegetable sushis, noodles soups variety of salads, fruits , yogurt, fresh juices, garlic bread rice, baked dish etc every day along with fantastic pumpkin & carrot soup . Strongly recommend Indians who are pure vegetarian, the only hitch is they have a lift untill the 6th floor, and the roof top restaurant which operates only for breakfast is 2 floors higher you need to take the stairs. ( Ppl with limited mobility should avoid) Other wise please go ahead and book this . Its just 3/4 minutes walk from the hanoi train station and around 15 mins walk to the lake and the famous old quater bylanes for shopping. The area is safe. Thankful to the owner Mr Tam & entire staff for making it a memorable stay for us which you rarely experience. Everytime we went out or moved in there were staff members helping us from lifting our bags to giving us bottle of water or helping to find places. Wished we could extend our stay Strongly recommend PPL to book this hotel. It's away from the crowds yet walkable to the lake and other shopping attractions or you simply take a grab. The beds were super comfy and relaxing after long day. The shower pressure was good.

the staff were amazing, they are very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Their service was definitely the best part of our stay. The room - it was spacious and comfortable, and a good size for three people.

One thing we considered when booking was the lift, knowing we would be tired after a full day of walking around Hanoi. Unfortunately, we were given a room on the 7th floor, while the lift only goes up to the 6th, so we still had to take the stairs. The restaurant is located on the 8th floor, and we could hear the sounds of kitchen activity early in the morning. If you’re a light sleeper, this is something to consider. The hotel is also quite far from Hanoi Old Quarter, especially if your plan is to explore the area mostly on foot.
