The apartment itself is pleasant, spacious, and comfortable for one person, even for a longer stay.
The residential complex is beautiful, with a lovely green area and a park inside. The location is very convenient, with a shopping mall, supermarkets, cafés, and restaurants all within walking distance.
The price seemed reasonable for the apartment and location.
I particularly appreciated the check-in experience. Despite my late arrival at 1:10 AM following day, I was personally welcomed, shown around the apartment, and given a detailed explanation of its facilities and how everything worked. This was a thoughtful and convenient service, especially at such a late hour.
I also appreciated the host's quick response to certain issues. After I reported the apartment's poor cleanliness upon arrival, cleaning was arranged for 10 AM the following morning without any arguments. The Wi-Fi also stopped working once during my 16-night stay, but the issue was resolved within approximately 40 minutes after I contacted the host.
I stayed here for 16 nights, so this review reflects an extended stay.
1. Poor cleanliness on arrival
The apartment had not been properly cleaned after the previous guests: hair on the bed, pillows, sofa and bathroom floor, crumbs on the kitchen floor. I arrived late, so at around 2 AM I had to shake hair off the bedding myself and cover the bed with towels to sleep. The host arranged cleaning promptly the next morning, but this was a very disappointing start.
2. Undisclosed construction
There is a major construction site right next to the building. It is noisy, and the terrace furniture gets covered in dust within hours, so the terrace is practically unusable. Neither the listing nor the host mentioned this before arrival. I didn’t ask either, but this should be disclosed proactively, especially for longer stays.
3. Missing basic supplies
For a stay of this length, there was no salt, cooking oil, spices or laundry detergent. I asked the host for detergent, but none was supplied. I bought everything myself and left it in the apartment.
4. AED 100 deposit deduction
After checkout, the host sent photos of stains on the pillows and said I would be charged. As far as I could tell, the pillows had not been washed first. I suggested washing them, but AED 100 was still deducted. After 16 nights, normal signs of use should be distinguished from damage - especially as I received the apartment with previous guests’ hair on the pillows.
Overall, the apartment is nice and spacious, but the cleanliness on arrival, the construction, missing supplies and especially the deduction considerably affected my stay.
