Perfect place to stay at San Vicente de la Barquera

Central location, perfect for exploring the city and nearby beaches. Very spacious and clean. Feels very new. Well equipped kitchen.

Noise outside at the market during the night (music). Doors were difficult to open.

Nice but unpleasantly hot

Nicely renovated apartment as was the case for the whole building. Clean. Right in the centre of the town with many restaurants and pubs choices.

We got a different apartment as were shown in pictures. It was a two floor one with bedrooms in the attic. Apartment 2A. Unfortunately there is no air-conditioning. The bedrooms got unpleasantly hot even we had the exterior blinds shut during the day. Further because of the humidity and small evening rain the velux windows would not open at night to get some fresh air.. they were all electric with rain sensors blocking the opening. This was the case 7 out of 9 nights we stayed. Further the owner refused to provide a second air fan for the second bedroom.. this was very unpleasant. And when you manage to open windows, be aware of mosquitos 😅. There is a free parking on the street but it is a challenge to find one. Allow your self up to 30 mins circling around the area before you get lucky as it is quite busy. The kitchen could also be better equipped. But the apartment itself is very nice, i would have given it 9 if it wasn't for the air ventilation challenge.
