Unfortunately, the photos are nothing like the real thing.
Very responsive hosts and great location - right in the heart of Notting Hill, but away from the crowds.
1. Key collection was a hassle. It was a 7-10mins walk from the apartment. Not the best especially when you're travelling with elderly parents.
2. What was most disappointing was that the photos do not look like the real apartment at all! The apartment was a lot more dated with lots of wear and tear, really old furniture that needs either a serious deep clean or refresh, and broken items such as lights, switches and door handles...
3. Hosts mentioned that the place has been cleaned, but there were dirty marks all over the bathroom & the place was super dusty. No way the place has been properly cleaned. We have stayed in a lot of Airbnbs and hotels, and this is probably one of the worst experiences so far.
4. Water pressure in the shower was extremely low.
5. Important to note that this apartment is on the top floor, so be prepared to climb at least 4-5 stairs to get to the living room/rooms. This was not ideal, especially when you're travelling with big luggage & elderly parents. (This was not mentioned on the listing, otherwise we wouldn't have booked it)
6. Rooftop terrace was poorly maintained. Again, nothing like the photos at all. The chairs were either broken or too rusty/dirty to even sit on. This was the main highlight we were looking forward to; however, after seeing the state of the rooftop, we decided not to use it at all...
