Absolutely incapable hosts, horrible service. DO NOT COME
The penthouse is really new and clean. Everything is new and works (except for the AC, which we had to fix), and the location is really good (city center and near the very big supermarket). The house was very nice to stay and cook in (after fixing the AC).
Check-in was supposed to be at 3pm; we asked about arriving earlier and were ignored, and at 3pm the self-check-in code did not work; after 30 minutes of messages and new codes, with the host refusing calls (“please just text me”), we finally opened the box only to find no keys; we then spent hours waiting in the street, calling repeatedly and being told someone was “coming in 15 minutes,” until 6pm, when we were told the property had not even been cleaned and were moved to a large but completely isolated countryside villa, ruining our beach/evening plans and leaving us away from the city with no food or water; we were promised pickup by 10:30/11am the next morning, but there were no updates, at 10:48 we were told the host would come immediately, at 11:24 he said he was “on his way,” and by noon he still had not arrived, so a relative had to collect us; this was a continuous pattern of dishonesty: we were first told the house only needed fresh bed covers, yet two hours later staff were still carrying out trash; the actual stay also had major issues: the house was around 28°C because the AC was extremely weak, our messages were ignored, and I eventually discovered the filters had clearly not been cleaned in a very long time and had to clean them myself before it improved; the outdoor Jacuzzi has essentially no privacy, took about an hour to fill, used the boiler’s hot water because it has no independent heater, and the bubbles did not work; at one point water stopped coming from the toilets and sinks, again our messages were ignored, and after troubleshooting it myself I found the pump had stopped and managed to restart it; the bathrooms also had nowhere to store towels, no soap holder in the shower, and no toilet-paper holder.
