Based on our experience, I absolutely cannot reccommend this accommodation.
There was not any.
Completely unacceptable – nothing like the Booking.com listing
This was by far one of the most disappointing accommodation experiences we have had.
The reality of this apartment was completely different from the impression created by the Booking.com listing. The photos made the property look clean, bright and well maintained. What we found upon arrival was nothing like that. In our opinion, the listing photos appeared heavily enhanced and did not accurately represent the actual condition of the apartment.
As soon as we entered, there was an extremely unpleasant and strong smell of cigarette smoke, dampness and mould. The overall condition of the apartment gave us the impression that it had not been properly cleaned or prepared for guests for a considerable amount of time.
The difference between the advertised accommodation and what we actually encountered was so significant that we were not willing to stay there even for one night.
We took photographs immediately after arriving, before using the apartment or any of its facilities, and then left. We had to find and pay for alternative accommodation because we considered the condition unacceptable.
We subsequently contacted the property and Booking.com, explained the situation in detail and provided photographic evidence. Despite all of this, the issue has still not been resolved and, at the time of writing this review, we have not received a refund.
For us, the biggest problem is not simply that we disliked the apartment. The problem is that what we encountered did not reasonably match what we believed we were booking based on the listing.
Had the Booking.com listing accurately represented the condition and atmosphere of the property that we experienced upon arrival, we would never have booked it.
We left immediately, did not stay a single night, documented the condition upon arrival and still ended up paying for accommodation we could not reasonably use.
