Inexistent

Nothing

Our confirmed booking, which had been secured since June, was cancelled by the property just ONE DAY before our arrival. I am writing this review while still on holiday, after we were forced to spend an entire night desperately searching for alternative accommodation because of this completely unacceptable situation. The property provided no suitable alternative and, even worse, effectively became unreachable. We repeatedly tried to contact them without receiving a response, while both telephone numbers they had provided were unavailable. With our arrival only a day away, we were left completely on our own to deal with the consequences. Instead of enjoying our holiday, we spent hours searching for somewhere else to stay at the very last minute, contacting relatives for help, communicating with Booking.com, and completely rearranging an itinerary that had already been carefully planned. The cancellation also left us out of pocket. We incurred additional transfer costs, luggage storage fees, and other completely unnecessary expenses solely because our confirmed accommodation was cancelled at the last minute. None of these costs would have existed had the property simply honoured the booking we had held since June. What is most disappointing is the complete lack of consideration for the position this placed us in. Cancelling accommodation one day before guests are due to arrive can seriously affect an entire holiday — particularly when those guests are travelling abroad and have organised transport, activities and other arrangements around the confirmed accommodation. A hotel booking is something travellers need to be able to rely on. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we could not rely on this one. The stress, wasted time, additional expense and disruption caused by this cancellation affected a significant part of our holiday. I would therefore strongly caution anyone considering booking this property to keep our experience in mind.

Polecam
