Host unresponsive but great location

Flat is very well located. Everything is @ walking distance : museums, shopping areas, restaurants… Could be brighter despite the big french window.

When we arrived, the all BnB laundry was standing in front our door. Not very welcoming… We had to remove the boxes to get in. The morning after, the same to get out and again in the evening. We finally found a place in the hallway for them. We tried to contact the owner(s) but wasn’t very responsive. We arrived on Friday and let on Sunday and the boxes were still there and we still haven’t heard anything from the owner(s) which means that he /she/they didn’t really care. At the end we are just numbers, not really important as so many tourists visiting Antwerpen

The accommodation was much smaller than expected. Contrary to the description, there was no separate bathroom. The very small shower was part of the bedroom. The toilet was tiny. The only washbasin was next to the bed and about the size of an A4 sheet of paper. When you came out of the shower, you were practically standing on top of your suitcase. There was no wardrobe and not a single clothes hanger. Just a coat rack to hang things on and a few shelves. The sockets were very hard to reach, tucked away beneath the bedside tables. If you wanted to make a coffee, you had to put the coffee machine on the floor. The photos gave a completely different impression. I stayed in Antwerp once before, two years ago, and stayed in a fantastic place in the old town for a very similar price.

Cosy and great location

8 / 10Excellent·Jul 2026
