About this house rental
A warm welcome to our CASA SCALA in Brtonigla, Istria!
You’ll find a typical Istrian stone house that was completely renovated and modernized 3 years ago, yet has retained its rustic charm and character—allowing you to fully experience life in a small Istrian village with excellent amenities!
It’s just 150 meters to the town center, where you’ll find two small shops, a bakery, a butcher, a pharmacy, bars, and three great restaurants! And even better: right behind the house, you step into the Istrian countryside and can walk (perhaps with your dog) directly along unpaved paths through olive groves and vineyards!
CASA SCALA offers accommodations for 6 people on the first floor, featuring a spacious, fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a Smart TV, a bathroom with a shower and a washing machine, and a beautiful, spacious courtyard with seating, a grill, sun loungers, etc.
On the first floor, you’ll find two bedrooms with double beds, both with air conditioning, and a half-bath.
If you continue up the authentically restored wooden staircase, you’ll find a loft under the roof: another living area with sofas, a TV, and two single beds—all air-conditioned, of course.
It takes just 10 to 12 minutes by car to reach Istria’s most beautiful beaches; a folder specifically created for this purpose in the house will tell you exactly where to find them. It also contains valuable tips for hikes, jogging or mountain biking tours, excursions to historic sites, caves, and abandoned towns—and even shows you the way to the best and most affordable restaurants!
After a sunny day at the beach, relax on a lounge chair in the courtyard, or take a seat on the ancient stone bench in front of the house and enjoy the evening sun with a glass of white wine, as is customary in Croatia. Meanwhile, your children can grill some čevapčići on the gas grill or enjoy the Wi-Fi and smart TV!
You can park for free right in front of the house; the street is extremely quiet and one-way, since Brtonigla got a bypass a few years ago.
Upon your arrival, the house will be ready for you to use immediately, including bed linens and towels; we will, of course, cover all other costs such as electricity, water, tourist tax, etc.
We live nearby and are always available to answer any questions you may have; we’d also love to hear from you briefly before you book!
