Who doesn’t dream of sleeping under the stars at least once? The approximately 55 m² two-room apartment “Sotto le Stelle” warmly invites you to do just that—the name says it all! From your bed, you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the night sky, and the private balcony—measuring about 8 m²—offers a wonderful view of the rooftops of Cannobio, the mountain villages, and the Valle Cannobina. The house, in which this attractive apartment is located on the upper floor, is divided into two living units, each spanning two levels. In days gone by, the building housed the village’s communal oven and was thus the heart of Cannobio and a social gathering place. People gathered here to bake bread and other delicacies, and these gatherings provided an opportunity to exchange the latest news. Since daily newspapers did not yet exist, these meetings were of enormous importance for the flow of information and community life in these sometimes still remote villages. In 2026, the building was gutted and the interior spaces were reinterpreted in a simple and contemporary design language. Old structural elements, such as roof beams and original walls, were sensitively preserved and integrated into a harmonious whole with the tasteful furnishings. The building’s identity and the context of the surrounding historic village were preserved in the process. Modern amenities such as free internet access, satellite TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine ensure a relaxing stay. Thanks to the thick old walls, the indoor climate remains pleasant even in summer.

Although the house is located in the charming old town with its shops, cafés, bars, and restaurants, the location is nonetheless quiet. The beautiful lakeside promenade and the two public beaches are within easy walking distance. You can also explore the town and the adjacent beautiful Valle Cannobina by bike. Bicycles can be securely stored in the entrance area of the house. You can park your car in the free public parking lots about 100 meters away. Pets are not allowed.
