The title captures the idea behind this place. As a war correspondent, I often travel to regions where the world has been turned upside down. This apartment is my sanctuary—a place to take a deep breath and find peace.
Herds of cows on Ludwigstraße in the morning, a smile at the Italian restaurant in the evening. Hiking trails start right outside the door, leading to mountain huts serving hearty, home-style meals. The 45 m² apartment is fully equipped and offers everything you need to unwind: a newly renovated kitchen, a bright living room with a comfortable sleeper sofa, and a sunny balcony overlooking the Wankbahn—perfect for your first cup of coffee in the morning.
The bedroom features a spacious, exceptionally cozy double bed and a large closet. The sleeper sofa in the living room provides an extra sleeping spot if needed—the apartment is ideal for two people, but can also accommodate three.
The bathroom, featuring an original bathtub, captures the charm of the 1960s—lovingly preserved, well-maintained, and surprisingly cozy. A place to immerse yourself—not just in the water.

The house, with its spacious garden, is situated in a prime, quiet residential area at the entrance to Partenkirchen—just a two-minute walk from historic Ludwigstraße. There you’ll find traditional taverns, charming little shops, and a slice of living Bavarian history.
Right on your doorstep: a Netto, an award-winning bakery, and an excellent wine and deli. For larger shopping trips, a very well-stocked Rewe is just a 7-minute walk away.
A reserved parking space in the underground garage ensures safe and convenient parking.
