We stayed at CampoBASE Rooms & Suites during our visit to Venice, and I must say it was an excellent choice.
First, the location! The property is just a two-minute walk from the San Silvestro vaporetto stop, making it extremely convenient to reach. From Piazzale Roma, simply take Line 1 and get off at San Silvestro. Easy!
A little tip regarding check-in: You will receive an access code via WhatsApp, along with videos explaining how to enter the property. It is a self-check-in system, so there is no need to panic about arriving before 19:00, as the website might lead you to believe. Had I known this beforehand, I would have happily taken the coach from Treviso Airport to Piazzale Roma rather than arranging a transfer.
The room itself was spacious, comfortable and exceptionally well equipped. Honestly, they seem to have thought of everything! There was a coffee machine, a kettle, water and soft drinks in the minibar, an excellent hairdryer and even disposable slippers. They provided plenty of towels and toilet paper, plus three separate dispensers for shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. There was also a safe and air conditioning, although we didn't need to use the latter during our stay.
Now, a special mention for Giuseppe, our wonderful host. From the moment we landed, he stayed in touch and was available whenever we needed help. When I had trouble with the safe code, he immediately offered to help. When we needed extra coffee & toilet paper, it was sorted without any fuss.
He sent us helpful videos explaining how to access the property and operate the coffee machine, and even checked whether we wanted our room cleaned. What impressed me most was his responsiveness. Every time I messaged Giuseppe, he replied almost immediately. Professional, attentive and genuinely helpful throughout our stay.
As for the neighbourhood, Campo San Silvestro is surrounded by shops and restaurants, so everything you need is close at hand.
Overall, we had an excellent stay, and these are merely a few suggestions rather than complaints.
A pair of blackout curtains would have been appreciated. At the crack of dawn, daylight would filter into the room. Nothing particularly harsh, but enough to wake me up. Admittedly, I'm a light sleeper!
It would also be helpful if the website clearly mentioned that the property operates on a self-check-in system. Knowing this beforehand would save guests the unnecessary stress of rushing to arrive before the stated check-in time, particularly when flights are delayed or arrivals are scheduled for late evening. It could also save guests from booking unnecessarily expensive private transfers when much cheaper public transport alternatives are available.
Finally, our room was almost at street level, so we could occasionally hear people passing by in the mornings, chatting on their phones or youngsters laughing outside. Nothing outrageous, just the everyday sounds of a city coming to life. It is what it is, and it certainly didn't spoil our stay.
My advice? Pack a sleeping mask and a pair of earplugs, and problem solved! 😄
Would we stay again? Absolutely! These are small observations that could make an already excellent experience even better.

Værten var opsøgende og meget serviceminded. Det var tydeligt, at det var en æressag for ham, at vi befandt os godt. Kommunikationen var god, vi ventede aldrig længe på svar.
Flot badeværelse, nyistandsat.
To minutters gang til Rialtobroen. Ét minuts gang til lækker restaurant og ditto morgencafé.
Beliggende på meget stille plads, Campoo San Silvestro.

La ubicación es buenísima, la habitación es muy nueva, luminosa y con una decoración sencilla pero muy cuidada. No te imaginas que va a ser asi cuando estás en la calle. La cama muy cómoda, no hay ruido, la tv muy nueva, el personal es súper amable y te dejan café, agua y refrescos sin coste adicional. Para repetir sin duda.
El precio por noche es elevado, aunque es verdad que comparado con el resto de alojamientos en Venecia es muy correcto.
