Die Mittellage in Porlezza am östlichen Rand des Luganer Sees ist ideal. Die Fahrt Richtung Comer See oder nach Lugano dauert je 15 - 20 Minuten. Der Ort ist nicht zu touristisch und man wohnt ruhig. Dennoch bietet der Ort im Sommer mit den Gastronomien, den Eisdielen und der Seepromenade mit den regelmäßig stattfindenden Märkten für das Abendprogramm ausreichend Abwechslung. Der Gastgeber ist sehr nett und steht jederzeit für gute Tips zur Verfügung. Das war sehr angenehm. Wir können die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen.
Es war alles gut. Es gibt hier nichts zu mäkeln. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Sogar bezüglich der Parksituation in Porlezza (kostenfreie Parkplätze befinden sich ca. 3 Minuten fußläufig von der Unterkunft) hatten wir - trotz Hauptsaison und Ferien - immer Glück und mussen keine weiten Wege machen.

Fredericke has done a great job blending the old history with modern amenities. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was great and the location ideal for walking into town and the lake. The best part for us was interacting with the host. He went out of his way to help us when we had difficulty getting to his place from the airport and then he helped us again with getting to our next destination nearby for a group tour. Super friendly and helpful.
Only issue might be if you are not able to do stairs easily. Frederick actually carried our bags up to the bedrooms which made it easy for us. The second bedroom is one short flight up from the first one. There is not really a living area but that didn’t matter to us.

Sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet. Kurze Wege in die Innenstadt.
Die Lage der Wohnung: nur zu Fuß nach ca. 200 m zu erreichen, d.h. Koffer schleppen.
