Avoid — cold, uncomfortable, owners cheap and overly controlling
I would not recommend staying here.
The overriding impression was that the owners were extremely cost-conscious in ways that affected basic comfort. The hotplate had been manually disconnected, leaving only a small microwave for cooking, and there were signs saying only one appliance could be used at a time — toaster, microwave, kettle, or heater — meaning the heater had to be turned off etc. to use anything in the kitchenette. The WIFI password provided was incorrect and I struggled with it for days.
The air-conditioner was unusable because the remote was not provided, and the small heater did not warm the space. There were no rugs, only an ice-cold floor, and no lamps or soft lighting.
The flat also had a strange burnt smell, I saw cockroaches, and the pool pump against the back wall was noisy. Despite room to park on the property, I was told to park on the road.
Checkout was unpleasant. I was 12 minutes late and received two text messages, then the owner’s husband came- overly stressed, despite saying the cleaner was not due for another 1.5 hours. He then took the key and locked the apartment before I could remove my food from the fridge.
Overall, it felt cold, cheap, uncomfortable, overly controlled, and just not welcoming. Ignore their response and excuses, this is an honest one star review.
