A very nice hotel in a great location. Well appointed. Immaculate. We were within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do for our two nights in Saint Moritz between arriving on the Bernina Express and departing on the Glacier Express. A bit more comfortable and easygoing than the pricey places nearby. Yet there we were in the middle of it all! A bonus: Once oriented to our "neighborhood" we discovered we could easily get ourselves down to the Lake...and the train station. There's an escalator (and an elevator) up/down the steep embankment.
My big disappointment was that we didn't have the kind of room with a view that had captivated me when I scrolled through the photos prior to booking. I now realize, of course, that I booked a standard room instead of one with a Lake View. The Lake view, I think, would have been well worth the extra cost! Moral of the story: Take the time, when booking a room to zero in on the room you really want!

The staff was so sweet and there were nice touches such as the welcome drink and even a piano player as you waited for your room to be ready. Beds were also very cozy.
When you see that amazing photo of the room with the stunning view, you might assume that you are getting something close to this, but not necessarily. Such was the case for us. Our room faced the street and a huge hotel where many guests had a very close view of our room, as did the dining guests the next morning whose windows all faced our room. And at night, oMgosh you can hear every single thing going on as the sounds of people walking the streets after hours echo and blast nto your room! I feel bad writing this, as the staff was very sweet and the welcome drink was such a great touch. Just demand a view room if you wnt to enjoy your stay.
