About this house rental

This cozy two‑story Victorian offers a warm and welcoming place to stay in a quiet residential neighborhood with tree‑lined streets. It’s a peaceful setting, yet still only a short walk from historic downtown, the Riverwalk, and the Royal Gorge Railroad. Centennial Park — home to community festivals, concerts, and seasonal events — is just minutes away on foot, making it easy to enjoy everything without worrying about parking or traffic.

Inside, the home’s well‑stocked kitchen and gentle Victorian character make it an inviting place for family gatherings, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. Built in an earlier era, it carries a quiet hint of times gone by, creating a comfortable and inviting setting for your visit.

The home features four comfortable bedrooms, a well‑stocked kitchen with high‑end appliances, a large dining room with a spacious round table, reliable Wi‑Fi, and inviting spaces to unwind after a day out. Bay windows and natural light highlight the home’s simple Victorian charm, and deer are often seen in the yard, adding a bit of Colorado personality to your stay. The layout offers both shared gathering spaces and quiet corners, making it easy for families or groups to relax — especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas when cooking together and sharing meals matter most.

The location makes it simple to enjoy Canon City without relying on your car. Downtown cafés, restaurants, and shops are close by, and the Riverwalk is easily accessible for morning strolls or evening walks. Four complimentary bicycles are available if you’d like to explore farther along the river or around town. A large city park with a splash pad, tennis courts, and pickleball is also nearby, offering something for guests of all ages.

Canon City is known for its mild climate and relaxed pace, offering outdoor recreation in every season. Popular nearby activities include wine tasting at the Winery at Holy Cross Abbey, scenic drives along Skyline Drive and Phantom Canyon Road, hiking Tunnel Drive and the Riverwalk, and exploring the Royal Gorge region with its bridge, train, rafting, surf wave, and climbing areas. The town of Florence — the Antique Capital of Colorado — is a short drive away and offers charming shops and galleries.

This Victorian retreat offers a comfortable, character‑filled place to return to at the end of each day — quiet, welcoming, and perfectly situated for enjoying everything Canon City has to offer.

This VRBO was an absolute haven after many hours on the road! The room was incredibly cozy, and the bed gave me the best night's sleep. It has a wonderfully stocked kitchen with great coffee, and a cozy living room setup that was perfect for a “settle down” movie night. The location is excellent and close to everything on Main Street. I took in a glance at the Arkansas River from the park bridge and had to check out the whitewater surf wave. Rebecca was a fantastic host and recommended a spectacular spot for dinner, a 10 minute walk from the house. I would absolutely stay here again!
