The villa is located about 100 metres off the main road, surrounded by greenhouses and fields. Although it is relatively close to the road, you don't really hear any traffic or other noise, so the location is very quiet. We stayed at Villa Irabo for 13 nights: one week together with a family who are friends of ours, and one week by ourselves. During our entire stay, there were no other guests apart from the hosts, who also live in the house. Our apartment was on the upper floor and was generally very nice. The garden is beautiful. There are old olive trees, lots of different seating areas and a very pleasant atmosphere. The pool is quite nice. It is not very deep but we had a lot of fun there and there is really nothing to complain about. There is also an outdoor shower with hot water and an additional WC. There are many seating areas around the pool, plenty of parasols and lots of sun loungers. You can always find a comfortable place to sit, relax or read. One thing that deserves a special compliment is the outdoor kitchen. It has a gas grill and a large cooking plate, together with plenty of working space. We cooked and grilled there several times and found it extremely convenient. You have everything you need, and the large grill and cooking plate are perfect for preparing meals outdoors. It is only a few minutes' drive to the centre of Albenga and also to the beach. There are several beaches in the surrounding area, some private and some public. The hosts are a couple who also live at the villa with two dogs, overall, they were friendly although communication was somewhat limited because we don't speak Italian and they don't speak German or English.
The kitchen is very small, so you cannot really prepare a large meal there. Ok for making a salad, cooking pasta, etc., as long as you don't try to do several things at once. Our only real criticism concerns the bed in the bedroom closer to the bathroom. The mattress has a very noticeable "hole" on one side, presumably from many years of use. It is not only something you can feel when lying on the bed — you can actually see the depression when looking at it. Sleeping on that side felt a bit like sleeping in a hammock and was quite uncomfortable. The view is not particularly spectacular. From the villa you mainly see the surrounding greenhouses, rather than mountains or the sea. However, if peace and quiet are what you are looking for, the location works very well. Our positive experience with the outdoor facilities was partly influenced by the fact that for one week we were there together with friends. We cooked together, ate outside together and used the pool together. For the other week, we were only the four of us. However, if the third apartment is completed next year and all three apartments are occupied by families or groups who do not know each other, the experience could be quite different. With three families sharing the same pool, garden and outdoor cooking area, it could potentially become quite busy and noisy, especially if everyone wants to cook or grill outside at the same time.

Une véritable oasis de bonheur entre mer et oliveraies, dans le calme d'Albenga. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et les propriétaires sont très accueillants, toujours aux petits soins pour leurs hôtes. La propriété est magnifique, avec un superbe jardin propice à la détente et une très belle piscine. L'appartement est également très agréable et lumineux, avec une vue splendide sur le jardin et la piscine. Un moment à ne pas manquer : le coucher de soleil, tout simplement magique.

Alles war sehr gepflegt und sauber. Die Hundearea war sehr groß und top, mit Sandkiste, frischem Wasser und sogar Kotbeutel.
Die Wohnung im OG war sehr schön eingerichtet und auch sehr praktisch. Man hatte nie das Gefühl das man über seine Sachen stolpert wie es sonst oft in Ferienwohnungen ist. Sondern es gab für alles genügend Platz.
Selbst Geschirrtücher waren vorhanden.
Nur die Küche ist sehr spartanisch ausgestattet, (zumindest für Selbstkocher), aber man kommt gut klar und kann sich behelfen.
Die Gartenanlage ist wunderschön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Jedes Detail wurde bedacht. Der Pool und kleiner Teich sind wundervoll zum nützen.
Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich.
Die Lage ist ebenfalls top. Innerhalb weniger Minuten (mit dem Auto) ist man am Strand und es gibt sogar einen Hundestrand dort der wunderbar ist.
Wir werden auf jedenfall wieder dorthin fahren und freuen uns heute schon darauf.
Gibt es nichts.
