The staff at check-in and check-out were very friendly and helpful. Sergio was delightful and super accommodating on the beach and at the pool. The location is great and we loved taking in the daily morning scene as the beach came to life and the evening views of the sunset from our balcony or the pool deck or right from the bay. We enjoyed the beach access as well as the pool (though the pool was unusable for a couple of days). Overall, we were very pleased with the value of our stay.
Our shower experience was poor. A pipe (or something) made a very loud a banging noise when we adjusted the cold water faucet and the shower leaked so badly that we needed to use multiple towels to dry the floor daily. We reported this to the front desk and the person we spoke to laughed. We indicated the shower could be checked while we were out but that was never done. Though the pool was nice, at some point during our stay we learned that someone accidentally turned on the heater and as a result the water temperature was unbearable. (It was 90+ degrees Fahrenheit and very humid outside so heating the pool was totally unnecessary!) It would have been nice to have body lotion in the bathroom but that’s just a minor issue.

The location was very convenient, and I absolutely loved my room, especially the ocean view. The views from the balcony were beautiful and really made the stay feel like paradise. The staff was also very helpful and welcoming. Victor was especially helpful, and there was also a member of the security staff who was great. Unfortunately, I don’t remember his name, but I really appreciated his help as well. Overall, it was a great property and I really enjoyed my stay. I didn’t get a chance to use some of the other amenities, like the restaurant, but I was very happy with the room, the views, and the hotel overall. I would definitely stay here again.
One thing I didn’t like was how restrictive the property was regarding outside guests. If you are traveling alone but think you may want to have someone visit during your stay, you essentially need to register your reservation for two people ahead of time. Even then, the second guest is given a wristband that can only be used once, which I found strange and unnecessarily restrictive for an adults-only hotel. I completely understand not allowing outside guests to use the pool, beach towels, restaurants, or other hotel amenities without paying. However, I think the policy around simply having an adult guest visit your room could be much more relaxed. This is especially true for an adults-only property in a lively destination like Puerto Vallarta. What made it more uncomfortable was how heavily the policy seemed to be monitored. Even when I was simply entering or walking through the hotel with an outside guest, I was approached or questioned by staff, including members of the restaurant team. It sometimes felt like there was a lot of policing around who you were with, which took away from the relaxed adults-only atmosphere I was expecting. Also, although the property is considered adults-only, it connects to another resort, so you may still see children and families in some of the shared areas, including the lobby. Lastly, I noticed a bug in my room on the final night of my stay, which was unpleasant. I’m not sure if it was an isolated incident, but it was still worth mentioning.

The staff was excellent and the hotel is well maintained. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Views are beautiful. We had lunch at the hotel and the food was very good (not excellent) and portions generous The pool side and beach service is wonderful - staff was available when needed but gave you space. Size of hotel is quaint (only 32 rooms), which we like. Not too crowded at the hotel and pool.
In the morning the music at the pool was on too loud. Early in the day, when you are just getting up - more peaceful music would be better and later in the day, such as late afternoon onwards, when people are getting ready for the evening - louder music, with those more extreme beats is ok. Staff did turn it down for us - so that was good. The elevator could use air conditioning. You enter dressed to go out and leave sweating (it is a heat box). The location is good in terms of access to other restaurants and activities on foot as well as the beach. But the beach has too many vendors trying to sell services or souvenirs. We ended up having to sit at the pool to avoid them. The area is somewhat dirty - trash bags in the streets until garbage pickup day and some people (locals) are disrespectful and throw cans on the cobble stones streets. The hotel was clean - but the area dirty. We were told the sister hotel did not have access to our side of the beach - but they did cross over and were not told to go to their area. However, both our pool and restaurant remained private.
